When a sports injury knocks you out of the game, the highly experienced, certified sports medicine specialists, and orthopedic specialists, orthopedic surgeons, physical therapists, sport nutritionists, human performance experts and certified strength and conditioning coaches at the Ironman Sports Medicine Institute are ready to help you come back strong.
Our prestigious staff of physicians includes the assistant team physician for the Houston Rockets, the assistant team physician for the Houston Texans and University of Houston athletics, the head team physician for St. Thomas High School, the team physician for HISD schools in the southeast area, the former team physician for the NFL Houston Texans and MLB Houston Astros, a 10-year NFL veteran and member of the 1991 Washington Redskins Super Bowl Championship team, and the current medical team physician for the Houston Texans and the Houston Rockets.
The Community Outreach Team is affiliated with the department of Orthopaedic Surgery at The University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston (UTHealth) Medical School. It includes trainers, physiologists, physical therapists, strength and conditioning coaches, and sport nutritionists who work directly with high school and college athletics programs which have Licensed Athletic Trainers on staff. The Team conducts conferences and seminars, and provides training and education for student athletes.
